  • Overview

    Professional will be responsible for domestic transportation to and from multiple DC locations.  This role is instrumental in providing support for all shipment needs inbound and outbound for the DC’s, including vendor to DC and the 3PL operation. Tracking and monitor PO’s moving through the Supply Chain and ensure timely performance.  The position will assist in developing KPI’s and SLA’s for LTL, FTL, OTR and IMDL carriers.  Ensure on-time performance is measured and in line with company standards.  Route and coordinate pickups in according with In-DC dates.

    Responsibilities

    • Acquire domestic transportation capacity accordingly to need of the business
    • Monitor SLA’s with service providers and track this performance accordingly.
    • Route and/or coordinate all domestic vendor shipments to 3PL and DC’s
    • Maintain procedures to ensure that all current and potential vendors meet company’s shipping procedures/policies.
    • Oversee daily carrier operations with a focus on higher service levels and long-term process improvements
    • Manage daily booking of inbound LTL, FTL, IMDL and OTR shipments
    • Identify problems through analysis, create sustainable solutions, and influence key decision makers on Supply Chain strategies
    • Interact with cross functional teams to include product development, planning and merchants on product availability.
    • Provide Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
    • Gather and report data for transportation spend, savings and service levels

    Qualifications

    • 2-4 years’ experience in supply chain management and transportation
    • Knowledge of LTL, IMDL, FTL and OTR movement.
    • Invoice auditing and reconciliation a plus
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite required (advanced skills in Excel; intermediate skills in Word, PowerPoint and Access), along with ability to understand and evaluate supply chain visibility tools and other Transportation Management systems
    • Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and follow up
    • Proven problem solving skills with ability to identify, analyze and resolve serious issues
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) with ability to implement and conduct training programs
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member and interact with all levels in a cross functional environment
    • Ability to meet or exceed deadlines, prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment
