Core Accountabilities:
 Ability to analyze current processes, identifying areas in need of optimization and or, the ability
to develop standard operational practices from conception.
 Utilizes Labor Management experience to ensure all DC processes maintain an effective and
efficient labor scoring and grow with the needs of the business.
 Ensures all new DC/FC processes are optimized and, integrated within the Labor Management
System and other DC systems.
 Works with DC Project Manager on all DC Industrial/Systemic projects to ensure proper
methods and procedures are tested, validated and implemented effective.
 Through observational activities, quickly identify solutions to improve DC procedures,
ergonomics, workflow, SLA’s, accuracy or any other KPI metrics.
 Utilizes technical and systemic ability to layout, remap and or redesign DC activities and
workspaces to scale ensuring space, workflow and operational practices are considered.
 Works directly with DC leadership team on any project, requests and or enhancements
requiring an engineered effort through implementation.
 Assists DC analyst team to establish trend reporting and or other needed KPI’s related data
 May supervise 2-3 non-exempt associates who are responsible for data collection, data
analysis, data entry and operational support
 Participates in operational labor planning by making recommendations, supplying data, and
effectively monitoring all DC processes
 Depth of knowledge within WMS, DC Controls, Sorter/packing systems, time keeping systems
amongst many other.

Education/Experience Required:
 Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field
 Strong knowledge of DC operating systems/tools; WMS, DC conveyor controls, Packing/Sorter
systems and LMS
 Working knowledge of time study and work measurement methods, PF&D assessments, and
 Detail oriented with strong organizational and technical writing skills
 Firm understanding of DC/FC operational workflow, having the ability to identify gaps in
process and or areas of improvement.
 Ability to effectively communicate and interact at many organizational levels including nonexempt
associates, operations supervisors, and high-level management
 Experience in using PCs in a professional setting, including the use of standard office
applications including MS Office for developing documentation and analyses to execute work
 Experience with Engineering applications such as; AutoCAD and or BI tools for data
 5+ years of Industrial Engineering experience in a highly automated and systemically controlled
fulfillment and/or retail distribution environment
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that are required by an associate to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
 While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The
associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well
as reach with hands and arms.
 The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or
move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant
vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
 Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
 Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
 Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on
multiple floors throughout building.
 Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel Required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. As an International Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may
be required during periods of high volume. This role may operate in a professional office environment
and routinely uses standard office equipment. This role may also operate in a warehouse environment
subject to inside environmental conditions with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily
from temperature changes. This role may also be subject to loud noise due to conveyor systems and
material handling equipment and routinely uses standard personal protective equipment.
